Classes will take place at industry partner sites in Chautauqua County from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. on 5/14 - 5/16 and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on 5/20.

OSHA 10 General Industry (Olean)

This 10-hour General Industry training is intended to provide instruction on a variety of general industry safety and health standards. This program is presented by an authorized General Industry Outreach Program Trainer and will provide you with the elements for developing a comprehensive safety and health program for your organization. OSHA established required course topics. These topics are designed to present detailed information on how the provisions of the OSHA Act must be implemented in the workplace. The program will help your company reduce costly accidents, and the risk of OSHA citations, fines and penalties. Course topics include: Overview of the OSHA General Duty Clause, Inspections, Citations and Subpart D: Walking and Working Surfaces; Subpart E & L: Means of Egress and Fire Protection; Subpart S: Electrical; Subpart H: Hazardous Materials; Subpart I: Personal Protective Equipment; Subpart O: Machine Guarding; Subpart J: Lockout Tagout; Subpart J: Permit Required Confined Space; and Subpart Q: Welding, Cutting, and Brazing. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive an official OSHA course completion card

Intro to Industrial Chemistry Practices

Students will begin to understand fundamental concepts of chemistry from a theoretical approach while focusing on general practices appropriate for an entry-level position in the chemistry workforce.  The course is appropriate for students with little or no chemistry background who wish to gain employment in the chemical or cannabis industries in the area.
