Rejuvenate Your Retirement - Tuesday Session (4065)

Are you wondering how long your money will last during retirement? Join us at JCC and learn financial strategies to help you make the most of your retirement. Mark Hendrix, CFP will discuss retirement income concerns, investment selections, income sources, health care planning and estate planning. Over the course of two sessions, you will learn ways to work towards your retirement income goals and a more secure and fulfilling future. Your registration includes a course textbook, attendance for an addtional person at no extra cost, 6 hours of classroom instruction, and optional one-on-one consultation.

Basic Laboratory Skills - Olean (3685)
with J. Mogavero

Basic Lab course covers a review of basic chemistry principles on pH, alkalinity, chlorine residuals, treatment and water quality regulations. Workshop covers water quality topics on disinfection and public notification. Water Treatment Operators Grade IA / IIA are required to complete a 0.5 CEU Basic Lab course every 3 years.
Controls Technician Program
with J. Meade

Overview training in electrical safety, tools for controls technicians, and essential programming skills for PLC systems, covering both basic and advanced concepts. Participants will also learn troubleshooting techniques, the application of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Servo Control, and gain hands-on experience with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and industrial automation systems.

Electrical Safety (3157)

Learn the effect electricity has on the body, arc flash, how to prevent arc flash, and the various hazards that come along with working with electricity. Students will also be introduced to common NFPA 70E standards and codes.

Math for Water/Wastewater Plant Operators - Olean (3098)

This session applies math principles water operators use in the treatment and distribution systems as chemical dosages, flows, detention times and pressure.
Microbiology- Olean (3099)

This session reviews the Total Coliform rule, sample collection, preparing Health Reports, Public Notifications, and a review of water quality disinfection practices to microorganism.
Grade IIB - Olean (3095)

This four-day course is designed to meet the requirements of NYS Sanitary Code Part 5 relative to the training required to receive New York State Water Treatment Operator's certification.
