Culinary (Olean) - 4094

The Culinary Operations training will equip students with basic skills and competencies, such as food safety certification, basic knife skills, restaurant, and hotel operations and professional etiquette. The hands-on experience and certification provided by this course can be used to enhance students’ knowledge at their current job, start their career in the culinary industry, or continue with their education.
Classes will take place from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. on 5/21 - 5/23 and 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on 5/27. After completion of the classes, students will be placed at an industry partner site in Cattaraugus County and are required to work a minimum of 120 hours to earn their selected micro credential.
Hospitality (Olean)

The Hospitality Administration training will equip students with basic skills and competencies, such as event coordination, restaurant, and hotel operations and professional etiquette. The hands-on experience and certification provided by this course can be used to enhance students’ knowledge at their current job, start their career in the hospitality industry, or continue in with education.

Basic Hydraulics (3092)

This session will review treatment and distribution operations for flows, pressure, storage capacity, operations and maintaining drinking water quality.
Disinfection (3093)

This session will review calculating rate of filtration and backwashing. It includes the examination of filter media efficiency to meet the filter turbidity rule and cleaning filter media as well as selecting and applying chemicals.
Grade D - Olean (3091)

This course is designed for operators of distribution systems serving greater than 1,000 people. Topics include pressure zones, booster stations, storage tanks, fire protection and disinfection.
Grade IIB - Olean (3088)

This three-day course is designed to meet the requirements of NYS Sanitary Code Part 5 relative to the training required to receive New York State Water Treatment Operator's certification.
Grade C - Olean (3089)
