Topics covered in this course include operator qualifications and responsibilities, water quality control, coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, pH and alkalinity adjustment, iron and manganese removal, water softening and chlorination, bacteriological laboratory techniques, emergency planning, safety, hydraulics and pumps, process calculations and distribution system operation and maintenance.

This five-day course is designed to meet the requirements of NYS Sanitary Code Part 5 relative to the training required to receive New York State Water Treatment Operator's certification. This training will coincide with the first half of the Grade A class.

This four-day course is designed to meet the supervisor management requirements for the New York State Department of Health Grade I certification course for water treatment operators. The course is a mixture of lecture and interactive activities. The Manage for Success textbook and course materials are included in the cost.

The Human Resources Foundations Program is a comprehensive five-week course designed to provide participants with a solid understanding of the core principles, responsibilities, and best practices of the human resources profession. Participants will explore the essential functions of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, employment law, compensation and benefits, confidentiality, and performance management. Emphasis is placed on developing the professional competencies that distinguish successful HR professionals, including ethical decision-making, effective communication, relationship management, critical thinking, and conflict resolution.

This course is designed for operators of distribution systems serving greater than 1,000 people. Topics include pressure zones, booster stations, storage tanks, fire protection and disinfection.
