Confusing laws, concepts, and procedures are clarified in plain English. Chemical Safety and Laboratory Practices I

In the second installment of a three-course sequence, students will begin to understand fundamental concepts of chemistry from a practical approach, focusing on practices appropriate for an entry-level position in the chemistry workforce including the appropriate paperwork and adherence to safety protocols. The course is appropriate for students with little or no chemistry background who wish to gain employment in the chemical or cannabis industries in the area. The class “Introduction to Industry Chemistry” is suggested but not required.

This four-day course is designed to meet the supervisor management requirements for the New York State Department of Health Grade I certification course for water treatment operators. The course is a mixture of lecture and interactive activities. The Manage for Success textbook and course materials are included in the cost.
