This 10-hour General Industry training is intended to provide instruction on a variety of general industry safety and health standards. This program is presented by an authorized General Industry Outreach Program Trainer and will provide you with the elements for developing a comprehensive safety and health program for your organization. OSHA established required course topics. These topics are designed to present detailed information on how the provisions of the OSHA Act must be implemented in the workplace. The program will help your company reduce costly accidents, and the risk of OSHA citations, fines and penalties. Course topics include: Overview of the OSHA General Duty Clause, Inspections, Citations and Subpart D: Walking and Working Surfaces; Subpart E & L: Means of Egress and Fire Protection; Subpart S: Electrical; Subpart H: Hazardous Materials; Subpart I: Personal Protective Equipment; Subpart O: Machine Guarding; Subpart J: Lockout Tagout; Subpart J: Permit Required Confined Space; and Subpart Q: Welding, Cutting, and Brazing. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive an official OSHA course completion card

Learn the basics of AC motor construction. Introduction to 3-phase AC power. Wire a 6-pole and 9-pole motor. Understand the difference between low voltage and high voltage. Learn the basic construction of DC motors.

During this interactive three-day program led by two CQAS instructors, participants will work in teams on specific process improvement problems using the first four phases of the DMAIC process (Define, Measure, Analyze, and Improve). The program outcome will be a set of recommendations from each team on steps toward an improvement strategy for consideration by management.Upon completion of the program participants will:• Understand how to use a core group of process improvement and problem solving tools,• Understand how to construct a well-defined and actionable problem statement,• Understand how to collect data to verify current state,• Understand how to apply fundamental data analysis techniques to arrive at root causes,• Understand how to work effectively in cross-disciplinary teams,• Develop communication skills to break-down silos and present differing viewpoints,• Understand how to respond to and lead change in an organization,• Have practical experience presenting potential solutions to management.
