Grade 1A Supervisory Management (3087)
This four-day course is designed to meet the supervisor management requirements for the New York State Department of Health Grade I certification course for water treatment operators. The course is a mixture of lecture and interactive activities. The Manage for Success textbook and course materials are included in the cost.
Conflict Resolution: From Playbook to Practice - 3147

This course will build on the "Conflict Resolution Playbook" by Jeremy Pollack. Time will be spent exploring strategies and provide practice for de-escalating conflict.
Calculations in Industrial Chemistry
In the third installment of a three-course sequence, students will apply mathematical and computational treatments to the theoretical and practical chemical theories covered in earlier courses. This course focuses on practices appropriate for an entry-level position in the chemistry workforce. The course is appropriate for students with little or no chemistry background who wish to gain employment in the chemical or cannabis industries in the area. The classes “Introduction to Industry Chemistry” and “Chemical Safety & Laboratory Practices I” are suggested but not required.

Phlebotomy - 4539

The focus of this course is to prepare students for a phlebotomy career within a hospital, blood donor center, doctor’s office, or other institution.
The course will cover necessary skills to be a phlebotomist: blood collection, specimen processing and storage, professionalism in a clinical setting, and communication skills, clerical and courier as well as reception and other duties.
Lectures are based on current, relevant phlebotomy procedures which includes hands-on laboratory practices, and a clinical rotation at a local medical facility.
Required , Background Check, FBI Fingerprinting, and Child Abuse Clearances for the State of Pennsylvania for all students.

This updated seminar led by a local attorney, prepares individuals for the NYS test and provides a comprehensive view of the notary public office. Confusing laws, concepts, and procedures are clarified in plain English. Examples are provided to illustrate situations what the officer is likely to encounter such as avoiding conflicts of interest, maintaining professional ethers, charging proper fees, handling of special situations, minimizing legal liability and much more. The Science of Cannabis I

Students will continue to understand fundamental concepts of chemistry from a theoretical approach, using topics to bring forward the early knowledge necessary for entry into the cannabis workforce. The course is appropriate for students with some chemistry background who wish to gain employment in the chemical or cannabis industries in the area, as a laboratory technician, budtender, or otherwise.

This in-person, highly interactive course is approved by the NYS DEC to satisfy the training requirements for persuing a Grade 3 or higher certrifciation. The course covers problem solving, decision making, communications, planning and more. The Manage for Success textbook is included in the course price.
